Basic Design II: Final Project (Biographical Toy)

For our final project we had to create a biographical toy using found objects. I decided to create a rag doll using fabric, ribbon, and sharpie.

Sketching and Rendering: Final Project

Our final project for this course was to design the interior spaces of this small lower level of an apartment. We had to choose all our own furnishings and draw/render all views of the rooms. The floor plan is what we were given and everything else was our own based off of it.

Basic Design II: Polyhedral- Wall Structure

For this project I had to make a wall structure out of polyhedrals that could be implemented as a full size wall structure as a room divider or something similar.

Architectural Drawing II: Shapes in Perspective

This project was all about learning how to draw in one point perspective and it was really fun!

Sketching and Rendering: Material Exploration

For this project we had to pick out 4 materials and render them. We also had to render some materials that were given to us such as, glass and wood.

Sketching and Rendering: Couch Renderings

For this project we had to render 3 couches. This was one of our first times rendering after we learned some rendering techniques.

Basic Design II: Serial Planes

For this project, we had to look for things made out of serial planes. While doing research, I came across a picture of a hotel and it looked amazing! So, I decided to base my idea for this project off the hotel. Below are two pictures of the hotel, then pictures of my project.

Sketching and Rendering

These two projects were about learning rendering techniques in pencil and color.

Architectural Drawing II: Project 1

This project was designing a cocktail table.  These are my final drawings done on mylar and pictures of my model are coming soon.

Basic Design II: Project 2

This project was about transforming a book into some 3D representational or abstract form to get rid of the look of a book completely.

The original book before I started working on it

First stages of rolling the pages in towards the center spine

Another stage of reaching the colored pages and starting to cut and fold them

Second to last stage just the sides to finish

The project is complete...2 different angles of the finished piece
